Terms of Use
Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms apply to the Team/Player apps for iOS and Android and to this website (together, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Team/Player Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (company number 9455987) — “we”, “us” and “our” in these terms.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a club or team, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, so anyone with access to your email can access your account. Keep your email secure, and tell us at support@team-player.io if you think someone else has used your account.
The details you give us must be accurate and your own. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Children
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Younger players can take part through a profile created and managed by their parent or guardian. The parent or guardian accepts these terms on the child’s behalf and is responsible for how that profile is used.
Teams and your content
Team administrators decide who is in a team and what roles they have. Anything you add to the Service — team details, events, availability, results and votes — remains yours. You give us permission to store, process and show it to the people it is shared with, only so we can run the Service.
Only add information about other people when you have the right to, for example as their team administrator or guardian.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
- access another person’s account or data without permission;
- interfere with the Service, or probe, scrape or overload it; or
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the Service.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. To report content or behaviour that you think breaks them, email support@team-player.io.
Fees between teams and members
The Service is currently free. Teams can use it to keep track of subscriptions, fines and other charges owed by their members. Those charges are arrangements between the team and its members: we do not collect or process the payments, and we are not a party to them. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you before you are charged anything.
Competition information
Fixtures, results and standings come from competition organisers and their data providers. We show them as we receive them and cannot guarantee they are complete, accurate or up to date. Check anything important with the organiser.
Changes to the Service
We are continually developing the Service, and may change, suspend or stop any part of it. We will try to give you notice of changes that significantly affect you.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account from within the app or by asking us to. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. If you use the Service for the purposes of a business, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is”, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to NZ$100.
App stores
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. We, not they, are responsible for the app and its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. The app store’s own terms also apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
